In spite of pressing gamers to update from the PS4, Sony will supposedly be cutting the life process of its next-gen console short and ship double the amount of Xbox Series X units. Sonys backend supply chain in Taiwan exposed that the life of a PS5 console will be just over five years and not six or 7 years like what we saw with the PS4, PS3, and PS2. Going on to include that Sony anticipates to deliver 120 million units over the next 5 years.
With some figures pushing for a maximum of 170 million units, the enthusiastic plan exceeds the 110 million systems over 7 years sales of the PS4.
