Oh no! Dark Sky is GONE! It was my favorite weather condition app. pic.twitter.com/jJtWkqtUpO

Apple in March acquired weather condition app Dark Sky, and at that time, Dark Skys developers said that the apps Android version would be discontinued on July 1, 2020. However, rather of shuttering the app on that date, the apps developers announced that the discontinuation would be postponed for another month.

Dark Sky was originally planning to shut down weather report, maps, and embeds readily available on its site on August 1, but the apps designers today said that weather report and maps on the Dark Sky site will remain active for the time being.

Now that its August, Android users are no longer able to access the app, and customers who were formerly active will be getting a full refund. Dark Sky formerly stated that its API will continue to operate through completion of 2021, but no brand-new API signups are being accepted.
