The Republican guv called the date “historic,” “constitutional” and “needed” on Sunday and called on states to ensure “fair elections.” Hutchinson stated Arkansas prepares to extend access to absentee ballots and put in place “correct controls to minimize any deceptive activity.”
“But something the United States is known for is smooth elections,” he added. “Its known for having a procedure that individuals feel comfortable taking part in and accepting those outcomes, and thats what need to happen this year.”On Thursday, the president proposed holding off the 2020 elections, although he does not have the power to do so unilaterally.
