UFC Vegas 5 lost another fight just moments after the primary card was slated to start after Trevin Giles passed out backstage previous to his middleweight bout versus Kevin Holland.
A video revealed backstage revealed Giles awake and alert as he was sitting in a chair speaking with medical personnel with his coaches close by.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission right away made the call to cancel the battle with Giles receiving medical attention after passing out.
When he suddenly passed out, the statement was made during the UFC broadcast that Giles was preparing to walk to the cage.
This is the second matchup ditched from the UFC Vegas 5 card on battle night after a light heavyweight battle in between Gerald Meerschaert and Ed Herman was also plucked the last minute after Meerschaert checked positive for COVID-19.
