Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac exited Sundays game against the Sacramento Kings with a left knee injury. The group fears Isaac has a ripped ACL, according to ESPNs Marc J. Spears. He hyperextended the exact same knee in January.
Isaac ended up the game with 4 points and 3 rebounds in Orlandos 132-116 win.
Isaac amassed national media attention on Friday when he meant the national anthem while his teammates, coaches and opposing gamers all knelt. Isaac said his choice was a personal one, and that he still supports the Black Lives Matter movement.
” Absolutely I think that Black lives matter,” Isaac said after the game. “A lot entered into my decision … kneeling or using a Black Lives Matter t-shirt do not go hand in hand in supporting Black lives. I do think that Black lives matter, I just seemed like it was a choice I had to make, and I didnt feel like putting that shirt on and kneeling went together with supporting Black lives.”
Isaac, 22, remains in his 3rd expert season after being prepared with the No. 6 pick in the 2017 NBA draft. Hes averaged 12.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per video game in 33 games prior to Sundays contest.
