Red Dead Online’s disaster patch gets rolled back by Rockstar – Polygon

Prior to Thursday, Red Dead Online gamers had to download an update that made all Animals and npcs vanish, made horses go crazy, made it difficult to shoot, and bizarrely, presented an invincible bald male that followed you around. The patch was live for enough time that social networks websites like Reddit had lots of videos of ridiculous and entertaining problems that were plaguing the video game and eventually making it impossible to take pleasure in any part of the experience. The spot was implied to repair some issues with the current Naturalist upgrade.

Its been a tough week for anyone loading up Red Dead Online on consoles just recently, thanks to a patch that apparently destabilized every part of the video game. Rockstar has now decided to undo the patch totally, rolling back the MMO to its previous state.

” An update to Red Dead Online intended to supply security enhancements and address connection mistakes accidentally presented a variety of concerns consisting of connection problems, low animal spawn counts, difficulty pitching Camps, going into Moonshine shacks in addition to others on PS4 and Xbox One,” the page reads. “We have reverted back to the previous version on those platforms, at first released on July 28.”

The rollback must ideally support the game, and Rockstar promises to iron out any remaining wrinkles through future updates. Bye, bald man. We barely knew ye.

Rockstar is dealing with the issue by pushing the reverse button, according to an update to a support page.
