BlueAndGold – Notre Dame Moves Up In Rivals Recruiting Rankings – Irish Illustrated

The Notre Dame training personnel relocated silence and turned Los Gatos (Calif.) High defensive end Will Schweitzer from his Nebraska commitment on Sunday.
Schweitzers promise moved Notre Dame up an area in the Rivals team recruiting rankings.
The Fighting Irish entered Sunday with the No. 12 class in the nation, and Schweitzer– the countrys No. 26 defensive end and No. 41 player in California– included 90 points to its class overall.
The Irish leapfrogged North Carolina for the No. 11 spot and now have 1,951 points according to the Rivals.com formula.

Schweitzer is devote No. 18 of Notre Dames 2021 class and the ninth on defense.
” They have incredible football, excellent program, storied program and their academics are so valued and Im a religious male myself, Catholic, so that actually played a part as well,” Schweitzer stated. “It truly felt like the suitable for me. Rivals ranks Schweitzer as No. 41 player in California and the countrys No. 26 weak-side defensive end. Noted at 6-4, 215 pounds, Schweitzer uses the ideal athleticism and skill for the vyper position.

LSU is one area ahead of the Irish and has 93 more points of Brian Kellys class. For further context, Oregon has the No. 5 class and 18 commitments– the exact same number as Notre Dame– however has 2,259 points.
Ohio State, which has the No. 1 class in the nation, has 18 dedications too and 2,670 overall points.
When arranging by typical star ranking, Notre Dame has the No. 15 class in the nation with an average of 3.39 stars per recruit. The Irish are straight above Utah, Auburn, Michigan and Tennessee, respectively.

Notre Dame just has a couple of areas staying in the 2021 class and are aiming to strike huge. Atlanta Pace Academy large receiver Jayden Thomas and Ewa Beach (Hawaii) Campbell athlete Titus Mokiao-Atimalala are key Irish targets, and their four-star status would provide the class ranking a boost.
