Charlotte Hornets suspend radio broadcaster for mistyped racial slur – ESPN

The Charlotte Hornets suspended radio broadcaster John Focke forever after he utilized a racial slur in a tweet about Mondays playoff video game between the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz.
Focke used the N-word instead of “Nuggets” in the tweet, which was later on deleted. He asked forgiveness in a later tweet.
” Earlier today I made a horrific error while attempting to tweet about the Denver-Utah video game,” he wrote. “I dont understand how I mistyped, I had (and have) no objective of ever using that word.
The Hornets said they are examining the matter further.
” The Hornets are aware of the social networks post by radio broadcaster John Focke,” a group statement checked out. “As an organization we do not excuse this kind of language.”.
The 2019-20 season was Fockes very first season broadcasting for the group.
