A breezy 4 hours and 10 minutes after this video game started, the Chicago Cubs claimed their 2nd successive success on the back of a 4 out look (and ultimately conserve) from Rowan Wick, who now has a team-leading 4 saves this season. How about that? I think he and Jeremey Jeffress will continue to get the most conserve chances here in the short-term, up until Craig Kimbrel proves that the enhancements hes shown over his last two getaways are here to stay.
When it comes to the starter, Yu Darvish, his overall results were great tonight (6.0 IP, 1ER), as he notched his 4th consecutive quality start while keeping his ERA at a beautiful 1.80, but there was difficulty. While he struck out 7 and walked just 1, Darvish allowed 8 hits and plenty of hard contact. Even still, he worked his method out of a substantial moment early in the video game, that may have ultimately tipped this one in favor of Chicago:

The Cubs had a couple of other tense moments in this video game, but likewise benefited from three double-plays– thatll generally suffice.
