After a delay to their offseason schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Bills players lastly have started to get on the field and hit each other. With preseason games still canceled, each day of practice kept in Orchard Park is that much more important prior to the groups season opener against the Jets on Sept. 13.
After a weird weekend which included incorrect favorable COVID-19 tests for the Bills which kept guys off the field, the group was back out on the practice field with (mainly) everybody. At least, everybody whos healthy. With that, here are three takeaways from Day 7 of Bills training camp practices:
Uh oh, the Bills got their very first … actually, really frightening moment of training camp, but from the noises of it, the scare was avoided. According to … everybody under the sun, pass receiver Stefon Diggs decreased on the field and trainers hurried to him throughout practice. A headache for the Bills.
Stefon Diggs scare.
Bills broad receiver Stefon Diggs. (James P. McCoy/The Buffalo News by means of AP, Pool).
According to ESPN, there was a concern with Diggs right leg. Diggs popped and got back out there, thankfully (for the Bills). WGR-550 radio observed that Diggs might not have even missed a representative out at practice, thats how quick he returned to action. Still, keep Diggs right leg in mind. Possibly the Bills give him a day of rest to rest it on Tuesday? Or down the road, could something flare up? While plainly talented, Diggs has actually had his share of bumps and bruises while with the Vikings. Hes played at least 13 games in each of his first 5 seasons, nevertheless, Diggs has never ever played in a full 16 game season, so hell normally miss a couple of trips. Perhaps the Bills training personnel can buck that pattern for him?
