The Toronto Blue Jays acquired Daniel Vogelbach from the Seattle Mariners for money factors to consider, it was revealed on Sunday.
The Mariners designated Vogelbach for assignment last Wednesday barely a year after he was an All-Star choice.
Vogelbach is striking.094 with just 5 base hits and two home runs this season. He had yet to play a game in the field at first base this season and was minimized to being just a designated hitter.
A year back, Vogelbach had a strong first half to the season, hitting 21 crowning achievement and driving in 51 runs prior to the All-Star break. The league changed after his All-Star Game appearance and Vogelbach hit simply.162 with 9 home runs over the final 2 1/2 months of the season.
