Hackers apparently demanded $10 million after getting in Garmins systems, which led to a company-wide shutdown consisting of all devices in their data centre to attempt and avoid them being secured, which discussed the international interruption.
This present problem appears less severe as their primary consumer website is still working, as are their air travel products.
Last month Garmin suffered another major interruption after suffering a ransomware attack.
Garmin is down once again after a major blackout.
An in-app message notifies users that the various platforms are presently “down for maintenance” and encourages to “examine back soon”.
The companys system status web page reveals all functions and platforms are presently down, including the capability to sync flights and the crash change system.
