The Kentucky Derby will run Saturday after having been postponed for months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tiz the Law is the favorite to win the 146th running of the Derby. He drew the No. 17 post at the event and will aim to become the very first horse to ever win from the post.
” Well, I like it being on the outside,” stated Barclay Tagg, Tiz the Laws trainer. “I didnt particularly wish to be out that far, however its what we have. He seems to manage everything that gets tossed at him, so we need to leave it as much as him.”

Among the stranger things to happen at the Derby will be the lack of fans. The Derby had initially planned a limited participation at Churchill Downs however reneged on the idea days prior to the gates dropped.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear will not be at the winners circle, either. He stated Tuesday he will see the race from house like everybody else. He said he will have a taped message as part of the prize discussion.
