Cardinals lefty Kwang Hyun Kim was expected to begin Sundays tilt against the Cubs (game 4 of this five-game series), however he was taken to the emergency situation space earlier today with abdominal soreness, eventually being identified with a kidney ailment of some kind.
The Cardinals rotation strategies have been blown up in the process:
Dakota Hudson pushed back to Sunday. Todays Game 2 will be a bullpen day. Poof goes pitching plan for #stlcards https://t.co/7XkFPVSy1a

Instead of starting the second video game today, Dakota Hudson is being pressed to tomorrow in place of Kim, while the bullpen prepares to take over the second-half of the Saturday double-header (the Cubs are doing the exact same thing).
With that stated, the Cardinals were currently required to utilize a great deal of their bullpen the other day after the Cubs chased Jack Flaherty early, so aside from the obvious concern all of us share for Kim (who is doing much better by the way), this is a relative disaster for the Cardinals personnel.
The Cardinals have activated Andrew Miller:
We have actually triggered LHP Andrew Miller from the 10-day Injured List and placed LHP Kwang Hyun Kim on the 10-day IL, retroactive to September 2.
