APPLE WILL LET DEVELOPERS OFFER FREE OR DISCOUNTED PRICES ON SUBSCRIPTIONS AS PART OF IOS 14.
Late last week, Apple terminated Epic Games account on its App Store amid a legal fight over the iPhone makers in-app payment guidelines and allegations they constitute a monopoly.
Apple stated recently its relocation will not affect Epic Games Unreal Engine, a software tool depended on by hundreds of other app makers.
The relocation indicated iPhone users will not be able to download “Fortnite” or other Epic titles through the Apple App Store.

” This was a clear warning to any other developer that would dare challenge Apples monopolies: follow our rules or we will cut you off from a billion iOS consumers – challenge us and we will damage your organization,” Epic Games stated in Fridays filing.
Apple pulled Epic Games after the popular games creator executed a feature to let iPhone users make in-app purchases directly, instead of using Apples in-app purchase system, which charges commissions of 30%.
Apple had said it would allow “Fortnite” back into the store if Epic got rid of the direct payment function. Legendary declined to do so, stating complying with Apples demand would be “to conspire with Apple to preserve their monopoly over in-app payments on iOS.”.

Impressive Games said late on Friday that it has actually asked a court to stop what it viewed as Apple Incs retaliation against the “Fortnite” creator after the iPhone maker ended Epic Games account on its App Store.
It argued that Epic Games is “likely to suffer irreversible harm” in the lack of an initial injunction and that “the balance of damages tips greatly in Epics favor”.
The filing described the iPhone maker as a “monopolist” that keeps its monopolies by “explicitly prohibiting any competitive entry”.
