Apple said recently its relocation will not affect Epic Games Unreal Engine, a software application tool relied on by hundreds of other app makers.

Apple pulled Epic Games after the popular video games developer implemented a feature to let iPhone users make in-app purchases directly, instead of using Apples in-app purchase system, which charges commissions of 30%.

The filing explained the iPhone maker as a “monopolist” that maintains its monopolies by “explicitly prohibiting any competitive entry”.

It argued that Epic Games is “most likely to suffer permanent harm” in the lack of a preliminary injunction which “the balance of harms pointers greatly in Epics favor”.

Late recently, Apple terminated Epic Games account on its App Store in the middle of a legal fight over the iPhone makers in-app payment guidelines and accusations they constitute a monopoly.

Legendary Games declared an initial injunction that would put its video game back in the App Store and restore its developer account. The filing was made in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

” This was a clear warning to any other designer that would dare challenge Apples monopolies: follow our guidelines or we will cut you off from a billion iOS customers – challenge us and we will damage your service,” Epic Games stated in Fridays filing.

Legendary Games stated late on Friday that it has actually asked a court to stop what it saw as Apple Incs retaliation versus the “Fortnite” creator after the iPhone maker ended Epic Games account on its App Store.

Apple had said it would permit “Fortnite” back into the shop if Epic removed the direct payment function. However Epic refused to do so, saying complying with Apples request would be “to collude with Apple to keep their monopoly over in-app payments on iOS.”

The relocation meant iPhone users will not be able to download “Fortnite” or other Epic titles through the Apple App Store.
