NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Packers vault into top three – NFL.com

Previous rank: No. 8

Take a bow, Aaron Rodgers. After an offseason in which the Packers drafted his presumed successor and many in the football cognoscenti decided his best football was currently in the rearview, Rodgers stepped on the field and controlled the Vikings for 4 quarters in a blowout win. Rodgers was just dazzling, torching Minnesota for 364 yards and 4 touchdowns. His preferred target? Davante Adams, naturally, who tied a franchise record with 14 catches, racking up 156 yards and two ratings in the procedure. Even more crucial, Rodgers got aid from Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who each chipped in with huge plays and touchdowns. Hell hath no fury like a famous quarterback rejected.
