The Steelers lost best tackle Zach Banner to a knee injury late in Monday nights win over the Giants and it appears he wont be back with the team this season.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin didnt validate the news on Tuesday, but did say Banner is out for the time being and the group has begun moving to set up their lineup for his lack. According to several reports, they have signed tackle Jerald Hawkins off of the Texans practice team.
Hawkins was a 2016 fourth-round pick of the Steelers and played in 5 video games for them in 2017. He was traded to the Buccaneers in 2015 and appeared in one video game for Tampa.
