Announced throughout Wednesdays PlayStation display, fans were introduced to Hogwarts in the 1800s, where they will play a trainee “who holds the crucial to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart.”
Harry Potter fans will study witchcraft and wizardry at Hogwarts School in Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world experience video game coming soon for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Avalanche Studios, makers of the Just Cause series for Square Enix, is developing Hogwarts Legacy for Warner Bros. Portkey Games, the label for Harry Potter computer game adaptations. No particular launch date was given up Wednesdays announcement.
The games official site assures that players will “find the feeling of living at Hogwarts as you make allies, fight Dark wizards, and eventually choose the fate of the wizarding world.” They will be faced with good-versus-evil options along the way as they fix Hogwarts Legacys main dispute.
