MAMARONECK, N.Y.– If it wasnt bad enough that Patrick Cantlay showed up at the 15th hole at Winged Foot standing at 11 over par in the U.S. Open, next-to-last among those who made it, what took place next was simply plain mean.

Playing Winged Foot resembles going for a run. Ur optimistic to begin, ur practically immediately pissed off, theres a great deal of heavy breathing, the views are great, ur wondering why u did this to urself, theres some self-hate included, finishing is euphoric, ur gunna do it once again– max homa (@maxhoma23) September 19, 2020
He was 22 lawns from the hole when he hit the pitch. By the time the ball got done rolling backward after striking the flagstick, he was 48 lawns away. He strolled away with another bogey.
Previously in the day, Max Homa, who missed out on the cut, summed up U.S. Open golf at Winged Foot about along with anyone.
