On how we need to begin re-framing the concept of time off:
And I look at it as we need a brand-new vocabulary for time off, due to the fact that prior to our book, I found that people valued time off, but their undertone of it was extremely minimal. It was generally just a vacation or trip, whereas I know its an everyday practice, a weekly practice, and it includes not just these macro forms of time off, however microforms of time off. And so I believe our goal was to just remind individuals that the connotation of it was much more extensive than we default to.

On how to start stabilizing the idea of leisure in the office:
Work, work, work, work. Whereas if we if we take time to really be curious of what individuals do in their time off, youll see like individualss eyes light up and theyll talk about their hobby or these things they do outside of work. And so talking about them at work will I believe help people understand that, wow, what Alice or what Jordan and what Max does outside of work actually makes them really intriguing.

On how taking a break helps spark creativity:
You really need to step away and kind of fine-tune your subconscious with this long leash and let it run freely so you can do the work for you. And its really, as John said, kind of offering your subconscious the time to do this by itself is such a fantastic process. You just require to really allow it to do that.
