Philadelphia 76ers ownership– including Josh Harris and David Blitzer– will meet Doc Rivers in Philadelphia on Wednesday night on the franchises head-coaching job, sources inform ESPN.
Rivers talked earlier Wednesday with basic manager Elton Brand. Other top candidates– consisting of Mike DAntoni and Ty Lue– likewise met Brand and ownership.
Rivers is the final candidate at the same time. A decision is expected this week.
Rivers and the Los Angeles Clippers parted methods Monday after his seventh season as head coach ended with their surprising ouster from the NBA playoffs by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals. Sources stated Rivers had two years left on his contract.
