Trek-Segafredo then put out a declaration suspending Simmons “up until further notice.”

” Regrettably, team rider Quinn Simmons made declarations online that we feel are dissentious, incendiary, and harmful to the group, expert biking, its fans, and the favorable future we want to help create for the sport,” the team composed. “( He) will not be racing for Trek-Segafredo till further notification.”

Simmons responded to Been, stating “Bye” with a dark-skinned hand emoji waving. Her tweet was later on erased.

He also responded to a different tweet, which screen-shotted Simmons reaction with Been.

A separate Twitter user composed that Simmons was “Apparently a Trumper.” He composed back: “Thats ideal” with an American flag emoji.

Simmons, 19, responded to a tweet from Dutch journalist Jose Been in which she said she hoped for her American friends that “this horrible presidency ends for you,” adding “if you follow me and support Trump, you can go.”

In response to the suspension, Been wrote that she felt “terrible” about it and that she would not have desired Simmons to be suspended.
Simmons was in his very first season with the Trek-Segafredo.
