Nvidia has postponed the launch of its upcoming GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card so theres more stock offered on launch day. In a post, the business confessed that the news “may be frustrating” to some, but stated, “this shift will assist our international partners get more graphics cards into the hands of gamers on launch day.” The graphics card will now release on October 29th, instead of October 15th.
The delay follows Nvidia had to apologize for stock lacks after the release of the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card last month. The business stated it was not prepared for the quantity of demand for these brand-new GPUs, which caused the card selling out practically instantly. Hopefully this suggests it will have enough RTX 3070s to please demand at the end of October.
With a beginning price of $499, the GeForce RTX 3070 is the most inexpensive of the 3 Ampere-powered graphics cards Nvidia revealed at the beginning of September together with the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090.
