The Buccaneers raised running back Kenjon Barner to the groups 53-man roster, per the team. Barners elevation from the practice squad comes after an injury to running back Leonard Fournette, who has actually been ruled out of the Week 4 contest.
And no, its not Kevin Faulk, LeGarrette Blount, and even Mike Gillislee.
Barner was on the Patriots 53-man roster from Week 4 to Week 9 before signing up with the Carolina Panthers later on the exact same season.
The 30-year-old played in one video game this season with the Bucs, a Week 3 win over the Denver Broncos, but saw just four special teams snaps.
Barner played 5 video games with Brady and the Patriots during the 2018 season. He tape-recorded a 3.7 yards-per-rush average in New England and tallied 19 carries for 71 yards.
Tampa Bay is the 5th group Barner has played for given that 2013.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady might share the backfield with a rather familiar face Sunday versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Bucs-Chargers contest is set up for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
