AMES, Iowa– It was another milestone win for Matt Campbells rising program at Iowa State. For Oklahoma, it was another squashing loss.
Breece Hall scored the go-ahead touchdown on an 8-yard run with 4:06 left and Isheem Young obstructed Spencer Rattlers pass in completion zone on No. 18 Oklahomas final drive, offering Iowa State a 37-30 success Saturday night.
It was the Cyclones first win over Oklahoma in Ames given that 1960, as Iowa State had lost 24 straight home games to the Sooners. That is the longest home losing streak versus a single opponent by any team in the AP Poll era, which began in 1936.
The Sooners (1-2, 0-2 Big 12), beaten in the house by Kansas State last week, dropped back-to-back regular-season video games for the very first time considering that 1999.
