PITTSBURGH– Jarron Jones, an offensive lineman on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice team, was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with exacerbated assault, strangulation and simple attack, according to a criminal grievance obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The arrest comes from an alleged physical altercation between Jones, 26, and his girlfriend at a Pittsburgh residence in the early hours of Oct. 3, according to the criminal complaint.
” We know the situation relating to Jarron Jones,” Steelers basic supervisor Kevin Colbert said in a declaration. “We are gathering all of the details of these disturbing claims, but we will not comment any additional at this time.”

Jones told authorities that, after returning independently from a night out, the woman started “breaking products in the house and screaming at Jones,” according to the problem. He picked up the female by “grabbing her by the back and legs and positioned her outside,” the complaint said.
The lady, though, told cops Jones strangled her, struck her in the face, smashed his Xbox console over her face, picked her up and tossed her outside, according to the complaint. She also informed cops she lost awareness throughout the run-in, according to the complaint.
Cops also composed in the problem that the lady had abrasions on the ideal side of her face near her temple, bruising with some swelling on her best forearm and a small abrasion on her upper left chest area. She was required to a local healthcare facility in stable condition, according to the complaint.
Jones was required to the Allegheny County Jail.
The Steelers at first signed Jones, a Notre Dame product, in April after he invested a shortened XFL season with the New York Guardians. He didnt make the 53-man lineup, he did make a spot on the teams practice squad.
