With the Green Bay Packers-Atlanta Falcons game now starting at 8:00 Central, inactive players were announced slightly later than usual, and while there are no shocking surprises, it’s not going to be easy for Green Bay. Per ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Davante Adams was not able to talk his way back into the lineup despite his now-deleted, unhappy tweet from earlier today. He’ll be joined on the sidelines by tight ends Marcedes Lewis and rookie quarterback Jordan Love.
Packers inactives:
QB Jordan Love
WR Davante Adams
DB Parry Nickerson
LB Rashan Gary
TE Marcedes Lewis
DL Kenny Clark— Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) October 5, 2020
On the defensive side, Kenny Clark’s injured groin will cost him at least one more game, while the Rashan Gary won’t be able to continue his breakout season due to an ankle injury. Parry Nickerson will also miss this one. However, safety Darnell Savage will suit up for tonight’s game.
Earlier today the team activated linebacker De’Jon Harris, DL Billy Winn, and former CFL WR Reggie Begelton from the practice squad.
On the other side, Atlanta will have both Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley at their disposal. Kicker Younghoe Koo leads the inactives. He’ll be replaced by Elliott Fry.
The Falcons will also be without safeties Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen, as well as Deandrin Senat on the defensive line, and the disppointing Takk McKinley. Tackle John Wetzel and RB Qadree Ollison round out the wounded for Atlanta.
I’m guessing this is going to be a bit of a shootout.
