Android phones can now alert you when they spot certain sounds, which might inform people who are deaf or tough of hearing about crucial noises nearby.
If you switch on the function, called Sound Notifications, you can have your Android phone notify you about some noises through a push alert, a flash from your cam light, or by making your phone vibrate. Other gadgets support Sound Notifications as well, including Wear OS gadgets, which can send Sound Notifications through text notices with vibrations. And they work totally offline, according to Google.
Google says Sound Notifications can listen for ten different noises:
Smoke and emergency alarm
Sirens
Shouting
Child sounds
Doorbell ringing
Knocking
Pet dog barking
Appliance beeping
Water running
Landline phone ringing
Sound Notifications are already installed on Pixel phones and “choose other Android phones” and can be turned on from the ease of access menu in settings, according to Google. You can likewise get the function by downloading Googles Live Transcribe app, which can transcribe audio it “hears” in genuine time.
