Wilkinson himself is no stranger to the threats of sharks.

I was tracking it and alerted the lifeguards and used the speaker on the drone to get everybody out of the water,” Monks said in the declaration. “Within 10 seconds it was at the web surfer and 5 seconds later it was gone.”
Drone operator Beau Monks was using a drone to surveil the waters when he saw the animal, which appears to be more than 6 feet long. He broadcast an alerting to people in the water and caught the encounter on video.
The internet user had no concept a shark was trailing him.
The beach was left and closed for the day afterward.
” Ive been surfing with sharks my entire life and I comprehend theyre there and understand adequate about them to understand they have not excessive interest in people,” Wilkinson said.
In 2015, he was getting involved in the J-Bay Open in South Africa when fellow competitor Mick Fanning was attacked by a shark. Fanning left unscathed after punching the shark and swimming away.
