Devialet announces $299 Gemini wireless earbuds – The Verge

The Gemini will be readily available to preorder from tomorrow for $299. Devialet says the earbuds will go on sale at its own store in addition to “the similarity Harrods and Selfridges.”

The earbud design is clearly similar to Devialets iconic Phantom speakers, though clearly at a much smaller scale. Devialet says the buds must last 8 hours on a charge, or 6 hours with ANC enabled, and the case needs to provide 3 and a half full charges. It supports Qi cordless charging and USB-C.

French audio tech business Devialet is known for its over-the-top speakers, and now its entering into portable audio for the first time with a brand-new pair of wireless earbuds. The company says its Gemini earbuds have been designed with “pressure balance architecture” for optimal sound quality.

The Gemini buds use 3 levels of active sound cancellation, a two-level openness modes, and a feature that adjusts the equalization to your ear in real time for constant sound quality when on the go. Devialets Gemini app will also scan your ear to help discover the ideal bud idea size.
