There are a great deal of fun characters and opponents in Super Mario Sunshine, which was just recently re-released on Switch alongside Mario 64 and Galaxy by means of the Mario 3D All-Stars collection. But one character, a single yellow Toad, is trapped permanently under the map, alone and forgotten.

Limit Break, the popular YouTube channel that utilizes video camera tools and hacks to explore the worlds of computer game, put out a new video today everything about Sunshine. In it, we get a cool appearance at unused assets, items drifting out of bounds, and other intriguing things.

The saddest piece of information covered in the video is all about an only Toad caught under Delfino Plaza. This only happens in the original GameCube version of Sunshine. Throughout a scene in Delfino Plaza when Bowser Jr. appears with his submarine, a yellow Toad clips through the map as the level is filling. So while everybody else, including Mario, are living their lives and interacting with each other, this only Toad is caught permanently in the space below the game world.

Luckily, according to Boundary Break, this concern was fixed in the newest Switch port of the video game. However that doesnt assist the initial GameCube Toad who still lurks below, yearning to see the sun once again.
