New Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders will not be making the exact same amount of money as a coach as he did as a Hall of Fame cornerback. But hell still make a substantial sum.
According to documents acquired by the Clarion Ledger, Sanders will make $300,000 every year starting Dec. 1 and ending on Dec. 1, 2024. Sanders will net $1.2 million from his base agreement.
Sanders is likewise due the following bonuses based upon incentives composed into the agreement:
$ 25,000 for each win over an FBS challenger
$ 10,000 for winning the SWAC Eastern Division
$ 30,000 for winning the SWAC championship
$ 50,000 for winning the Celebration Bowl
$ 5,000 for a team APR higher than 970
Sanders also has ticket sales arrangements in his contract. For any home game that Jackson State offers more than 30,000 tickets, Sanders will be paid 10% of the profits from those sales. Sanders will likewise be paid 10% of the season ticket revenue if Jackson State sells more than 10,000 season ticket plans for a season.
If Sanders contract is ended without cause, he will be owed the equivalent of one years base wage. He will owe Jackson State 50% of the staying worth on his contract if Sanders terminates the agreement himself without cause.

Sanders, Jackson State president Thomas Hudson and sports director Ashley Robinson all signed the contract on Sept. 18, 2020. Sanders was officially announced as Jackson States head coach on Sept. 21.
For contrast, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has an annual base pay of $3.9 million and Mississippi State coach Mike Leach has an annual base pay of $5 million.
