PITTSBURGH– Minkah Fitzpatrick squandered no time welcoming Baker Mayfield to Heinz Field.
The Pittsburgh Steelers security obstructed Mayfield on a third-down effort, jumping in front of a pass meant for tight end Harrison Bryant on the Cleveland Browns first drive of the video game Sunday.
Fitzpatrick ran it back to the end zone for a 33-yard pick-six to provide the Steelers a 10-0 lead early in the first quarter. Fitzpatrick leads the league with 9 takeaways since 2019.
After publishing five interceptions in his very first six weeks with the Steelers in 2015, Fitzpatrick had a peaceful start to his 2020 season, with 17 tackles and no picks in his very first 4 games.
