Google assured an Assistant driving mode for phones would arrive in mid-2019, but that clearly didnt happen– over a year passed without any indication of it. XDA-Developers has discovered (by means of Android Police) that Google Assistants driving mode is at least partly enabled for Android users.
The rollout appears to be server-side, and might be part of a test. Its not connected to any specific variations of Googles Maps or search apps, and likewise deals with a range of devices. Your gain access to might depend on your account.
