Jeremy Pruitt receives stern lecture on discipline from caller on Vol Calls – Saturday Down South

With so many passionate fans across the SEC, each coach’s weekly radio program always has the possibility of going off the rails, especially after a loss.

On Wednesday night, that’s exactly what happened with Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt during “Vol Calls.”

One caller, Bill from Memphis, lectured the Vols’ coach about discipline and about setting a bad example by drawing fines for not wearing his mask properly (via KnoxNews.com):

“Coach, we’ve got to get this discipline fixed,” Bill said in a lecture of the coach. “The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win. I think it starts with you, Coach. Those unsportsmanlike penalties on the sideline, not wearing your mask the right way and getting penalized from the SEC office and that fine, I don’t know if that leads to turnovers and penalties on the field, but let’s get that discipline back. Let’s get that pride and enthusiasm back that’s been part of Tennessee and this history for so long.”

Bill also had plenty to say about Tennessee fans booing during the loss to Kentucky on Saturday. That was only one of the many interesting calls Pruitt took during the program.
