The most important piece of news to come out Friday was that Raiders right tackle Trent Brown is feeling better. A 380-pound man testing positive for COVID-19 is, in some corners, somehow less important than the possible rescheduling of a football game, all of the NFL’s new protocols and if Brown is to blame for the uncertain status of five other players.
“The good news is that when I have talked to Trent, he is feeling better and hopefully we get him back here soon,” Raiders coach Jon Gruden said after Friday’s practice. “He’s a big part of this team.”
The Raiders are set to play the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium after they were moved out of the Sunday night national TV slot.
