The video Sony doesn’t want you to see … is about seven seconds long.
That’s how long it takes a PlayStation 5 to boot Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and then it’s another two seconds from booting a game save until you’re web-slinging and saving New York.
The video originated on Reddit and Imgur, Eurogamer reports. Sony played DMCA whack-a-mole with this video over the weekend, which evidently originates from Norway. That’s because the console does not launch until Nov. 12.
Hands-on reviews of the consoles have yet to post (probably why Sony’s so keen on swatting down videos like this). But if you like to benchmark (or benchpress) these things, here’s a side-by-side of the PS5’s specifications with the Xbox Series X, which launches Nov. 10. And on a related note, it’s important to know that a PS5 accessing games from an external storage upgrade won’t need a pricey proprietary doo-hickey, like its rival.
