Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is getting a badical new addition in the form of Crash Bandicoot. On Nov. 6, after the launch of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, the skater game will get 13 new Bandicoot-themed cosmetics and some new perks.
This free update includes nine shirts, three hats, and a skateboard deck that players can equip.
The Crash Bandicoot update includes some nice gameplay features, too. Players can replay the Tours mode with individual skaters, allowing them to max out the stats of each pro. Starting a new Solo Tour will reset all Goals and Medals. Current Tours will be moved to “Crew Tours” and no progress will be lost with this change.
There are also new objectives in online Multiplayer, Create-A-Park, and Combo Practice. Completing these objectives will reward experience and in-game cash. Multiplayer playlists will also see an improvement, and players should see better randomization of Parks and Scores in the Jams and Competitive modes.
Players can also purchase a charity bundle in the Birdman Pack, which features a series of boards not originally included in the game. The ten-deck bundle will be available for $4.99; according to developer Vicarious Visions, “100% of Activision’s net proceeds for this pack will help support the construction of public skateparks for youth in underserved communities.” The charity drive will run until it reaches $500,000, or until Dec. 31, 2021.
