***Pregame Notes***

– UF’s 168 points are its highest total in any four-game stretch against SEC teams since 2008, when it totaled 178 in wins over Georgia (49-10), Vanderbilt (42-14), South Carolina (56-6), and Alabama in the SEC Championship Game (31-20).

– The Gators are coming off their ninth game of 500-plus total yards under Dan Mullen, five of which have come against SEC teams. In the 101 games spanning the 2010-17 seasons, UF had nine 500-yard outings, with five against SEC foes.

– Florida is an AP top-10 team for the 14th consecutive poll, which ties the sixth-longest streak in school history, and its longest streak since its run of 31 consecutive top-10 appearances from Oct. 12, 2008 – Sept. 26, 2010.

– Florida ranks fifth nationally and second in the SEC with 7.50 yards per play through its first four games. UF’s 6.5 yards per play last year ranked 16th nationally, far and away its best average since 2009 (7.0 yards per play).

– The Gators’ 42.0 points per game this season rank 10th nationally and second in the SEC.

– Florida’s 35 points per game since the start of the 2018 season rank seventh among Power Five programs and 15th in the FBS. From 2015-17, Florida ranked 110th nationally and averaged just 23.1 points per game.

– In addition to ranking tied for fourth nationally with 18 touchdown passes, Kyle Trask is one of two FBS players (UCF’s Dillon Gabriel being the other) with at least four touchdown passes in four games this year. Gabriel and UCF have played six games, compared to the four games played by Trask and Florida.

– Trask is the only player in school history to throw four-plus touchdown passes in four consecutive games.

– Florida and Ole Miss are the only FBS teams featuring two players with at least six receiving touchdowns. Pitts is tied for fifth nationally with seven, and Toney is tied for eighth nationally with six.

– Pitts and Toney are the only FBS players with six-plus touchdown receptions in less than five games played this year.

– Prior to the final two defensive drives in the Missouri game — by which time UF built a 41-10 lead — the Gators gave up just 172 total yards, and did not cede a touchdown to the Tigers’ offense.

– Florida also had its best performance when facing at least 15 third down attempts (3-15 / 20 percent) against Missouri since last year’s rout of Vanderbilt, when it held the Commodores to three of 15 on third down.

– UF has five takeaways this season, bringing its total since the start of 2018 up to 54 — which is tied for 17th among FBS teams.

– The Gators are tied with LSU for the SEC lead in tackles for loss per game this season (7.0)

– Last season, UF finished seventh nationally in scoring defense (15.5 points), posted three shutouts for the first time since 1988, and was one of two FBS teams (Oregon being the other) to hold five opponents without an offensive touchdown. The 23 offensive touchdowns allowed by the Gators last season were tied for the fourth-lowest total nationally, and the fewest they surrendered since 2012.

– Key losses from the 2019 defense were: Jonathan Greenard (led the SEC in sacks and tackles for loss; third- round NFL Draft pick), CJ Henderson (FWAA All-America Second Team; No. 9 overall pick in NFL Draft), and Jabari Zuniga (3.0 sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss in just six games last year; third-round NFL Draft pick).

– Florida has scored 35-plus points in six consecutive games, its longest streak since an eight-game streak from Oct. 4-Nov. 29, 2008. The Gators have also scored 35-plus points in four consecutive games against SEC opponents for the first time since a six-game streak within the aforementioned 2008 run.

– Florida has finished with fewer than 10 penalties in 24 consecutive games. The Gators were consistently among the most penalized teams in the SEC from 2009-18, finishing dead last in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2016.

– UF has scored in 402 consecutive games — which is an NCAA record. The Gators broke Michigan’s record of 365 consecutive games (1984-2014) against LSU on Oct. 7, 2017.

– Since 2008, Florida and Alabama are the only FBS teams that have not lost to a team which finished the sea- son with a losing record. UF is one of four teams since 2013 to stave off such a loss (Alabama, LSU, Michigan).
