With this week’s game coming on Monday night, Thursday was the first day that the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears needed to release their injury reports. Let’s take a moment to check those out, starting with the visiting team as we generally do.

Seeing Smith on the list is a bit of a surprise, though from what I’m seeing he did not re-enter the game on Sunday against Detroit following his second touchdown catch, getting replaced by Tyler Conklin the rest of the way.
This may also be the first time I’ve seen someone listed as having an injury and not having an injury. C. J. Ham has Schrödinger’s shoulder issue, apparently.
Now, on to the home team.

The Bears also have a few players that didn’t participate on Thursday because of “veteran rest” days, but they’re not listed above.
The biggest names for the Bears are under the “Limited Participation” category with Robinson and Smith. I’m going to assume that they’re both going to play on Monday night until we see or hear something different. Montgomery could end up being a significant loss for the Bears as well if he can’t clear the concussion protocol.
Those are your initial injury reports for the Vikings and Bears as they prep for Monday Night Football. We’ll be bringing you the rest of the injury reports for the week as well, so keep an eye out for those.
