It’s Week 10 of the NFL season, and while the Seattle Seahawks currently sit atop the NFC West at 6-2, that could change if the Hawks lose to the Los Angeles Rams. In addition, if Seattle is unable to take care of the Rams, a team it is just 2-4 against in the three seasons since Sean McVay took over as head coach, they risk falling all the way to third place in the division if the Arizona Cardinals are able to defeat the Buffalo Bills.
In any case, when the Hawks do take on Los Angeles, they will do so without the benefit of several key starters. The Friday injury report for the Seahawks listed center Ethan Pocic and both starting cornerbacks, Shaquill Griffin and Quinton Dunbar, as out. Then, on Saturday, the team downgraded Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Benson Mayowa from questionable to out. That means six of the seven inactives for the showdown with the Rams were known ahead of time, and the last remaining question was which of the four players listed as questionable (K.J. Wright, Alton Robinson, Penny Hart and Freddie Swain) would be the team’s seventh inactive. That is now known.
