The 2020 NBA draft is underway and the first pick is off the board as the Minnesota Timberwolves have selected Anthony Edwards of the Georgia Bulldogs as the No. 1 overall pick. The Golden State Warriors took big man James Wiseman of the Memphis Tigers at No. 2 and the Charlotte Bobcats will reportedly select LaMelo Ball at No. 3 to round out the top three picks in this year’s draft. Where will other college stars and first-year pros hear their names called as they make the jump to the game’s highest level? We’re about to find out.

Tonight’s draft is taking place under unprecedented circumstances as the league continues to grapple with changes to the NBA calendar brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, which continues to rage across the country. Normally held in June, this year’s draft is being held in November and will be conducted virtually as the NBA gear’s up for a December start to the 2020-21 NBA season.

Things will escalate quickly in the realm of player movement following the 2020 draft as free agents can begin negotiating with teams around the league just two days later on Friday, November 20.
