Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson may have just suffered a considerable Achilles injury, which will have a huge impact on the Dubs’ 2020-21 campaign. Stephen Curry has caught wind of the report, and the former back-to-back MVP took to social media to send out a message of encouragement directed at his backcourt partner.
Curry posted this brief message on his Instagram Stories, via ClutchPoints on Twitter:

Curry seemed to have been at a loss for words, and had nothing more to say other than a simple uplifting message for Thompson. After all, what else can you say after hearing such heartbreaking news such as this, right? Needless to say, Curry, the rest of the Warriors, Dub Nation, and most especially Klay are all extremely disheartened right now.
Not too many details have been provided regarding Thompson’s foot injury other than the fact that it involves his Achilles. The five-time All-Star is expected to undergo an MRI on Thursday, and the results of the same should reveal the severity of the injury, as well as an estimated timetable for his return.
Whispers have already emerged about a possible Achilles tear for Thompson, which would be a worst-case scenario for him and the Warriors. The 30-year-old missed all of last season recovering from an ACL injury, and should he need to go under the knife again for this Achilles problem, then this could lead to another season on the sidelines for the two-time All-NBA team member.
Prayers up for Klay.
