Giannis Antetokounmpo was active in recruiting Bogdan Bogdanovic to join the Milwaukee Bucks in a now infamous proposed sign-and-trade that all parties have walked away from, according to a report from Sam Amick and Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
The Athletic reports Antetokounmpo’s involvement was “widely known.”
Bogdanovic had a number of concerns even before word spread that the NBA would investigate the matter.
Sources close to Bogdanovic insist that there was no agreement on his part and that were a communication breakdown. Bogdanovic was caught off-guard when news broke just after 7:00 AM on Tuesday in Serbia that he would be joining the Bucks.
