Here are your Liverpool morning headlines for Saturday, November 21.
Fabinho makes return to training
The sight of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho back in full training this week was welcomed by an injury-hit Liverpool as they prepare to resume their Premier League season against Leicester City on Sunday.
His absence has been even more keenly felt due to ability to fill in at centre-back , given Liverpool’s defensive crisis with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez having both sustained knee injuries which have ruled them out well into the new year.
Fabinho has tweeted how glad he was to be back in action after his injury lay-off, writing: “Missed this. Back in the field!”.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to rule him and Thiago Alcantara – who was injured in the Merseyside derby – out of the Leicester game.

Salah’s Olympic appearance will depend on Klopp’s agreement
Liverpool will be given the final say on whether Mohamed Salah can feature for Egypt during next summer’s Olympics.
The Pharaohs have indicated their plan to call up Salah as one of three over-age players in their under-23 squad for the Games in Tokyo, with the men’s football event due to take place from July 22 to August 7 next year.
Salah would miss some of Liverpool’s pre-season schedule, and potentially the beginning of the new Premier League campaign, should he be involved.
But Egypt U23s head coach Shawky Gharib said Klopp would have to give the green light.
“We will speak with Liverpool in March,” he told MBC Masr . “We haven’t discussed the issue with the player yet.”
Salah is already set to miss a significant chunk of next season by featuring in the Africa Cup of Nations in the early months of 2022.
