EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have activated Pro Bowl wide receiver Adam Thielen from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Thielen is set to return to practice Wednesday ahead of Minnesota’s Week 13 matchup with Jacksonville.
The Vikings placed the 30-year-old on the list Nov. 23 after his best game of the season; he caught eight passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Dallas.
In Thielen’s absence against Carolina, four Vikings players each had at least seven receptions and 60 receiving yards in the 28-27 victory. Chad Beebe, who caught the winning touchdown, notched seven receptions for 63 yards along with Justin Jefferson (7 receptions, 70 yards, 2 TDs), Bisi Johnson (7 receptions, 74 yards) and Kyle Rudolph (7 receptions, 68 yards).
Thielen has 49 receptions for 646 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2020.
The Vikings also signed Andrew DePaola from the practice squad to the 53-man roster one day after long-snapper Austin Cutting, a 2019 seventh-round pick, was released. DePaola has played in each of Minnesota’s past two games after the Vikings made a change at long-snapper in Week 11.
