A second-year Auburn basketball guard is set to leave the program.
Sophomore Tyrell Jones, who has started three games this season, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, AL.com has learned.
After playing 17 minutes or more in each of the Tigers’ first three games, Jones played nine minutes or fewer in the next four Auburn games. He didn’t play during the Tigers’ win over Appalachian State on Tuesday.
A former four-star recruit, Jones was the second-highest ranked player in Auburn’s 2019 recruiting class, behind only Isaac Okoro.
