Ohio State To Wear Diamond Quest Uniforms Against Clemson For Second Sugar Bowl In A Row | Eleven Warriors – Eleven Warriors

For the second Sugar Bowl in a row, Ohio State will wear its Diamond Quest alternate uniforms. Once against as the underdog, this time to Clemson instead of Alabama, the Buckeyes will rock the throwback jerseys they first unveiled when taking down the top-ranked Crimson Tide on Jan. 1, 2015 in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

The team revealed its choice on Monday evening after speculation about which uniforms would be selected had picked up.

These uniforms are meant to honor the 1968 national championship team. They have gray stripes on the sleeves, which differs from their usual look.

Ohio State hasn’t worn this alternate uniform since the 2016 Clemson Fiesta Bowl loss. It did wear them four times in the 2015 season, including the Virginia Tech game where Braxton Miller pulled off his famous spin move.
