When Kentucky kicks off against NC State tomorrow at noon they will be doing so without redshirt junior cornerback Cedrick Dort. Dort announced the news via Twitter this evening.
Unfortunately I wont be playing in this last game with my brothers but they know the love real, lets get this Dub #BBN???

This morning Coach Stoops announced the team was 100% after clearing their final round of COVID tests. It is unclear if Dort’s status is due to opt-out or another unforeseen circumstance.
This season, Dort has allowed seven receptions on 11 targets for 72 yards with ten tackles as well. He has two pass deflections on the year. Dort didn’t see many snaps in 2020 behind Kelvin Joseph, but the South Florida Native saw a massive uptick in snaps against South Carolina after Joseph opted out a few days prior.
Kentucky will now look for Carrington Valentine and Brandin Echols at corner on Saturday.
It’s a pretty thin cornerback room for Brad White’s defense for Saturday.
